Walther P99

Able to endure harsh operating conditions, the Walther's short recoil-operated breech locked semi-automatic has become the choice for law enforcement agencies in North America, Europe and Asia. Its compact and lightweight pistol engineering design coupled with an ergonomically comfortable grip and shape, all of which have evolved in face of feedback from agencies and professionals make the Walther P99 truly a world class handgun for professionals and civilians who trust their lives to firearm.

The Walther P99 uses a modified Browning cam lock system based on Hi-power pistols, and relies on an internal striker as opposed to an external hammer. An exclusive striker ready (cocked/uncocked) indicator protrudes at the back dead center coupled with a loaded chamber indicator towards the right hand side of slide enhances the fire readiness of the sidearm. All of which is housed in its lightweight polymer frame reinforced with fiberglass.

The P99's anti stress trigger with a traditional double action feature allows the user to fire the initial shot with a 14mm travel limit during trigger pull, hence preventing accidental discharge under stress. Once the first shot has been initiated, the trigger pull reduces from 11 lbs and the 14mm pull a 5 lbs and .31 inch trigger travel pull thereby making the subsequent shots faster without compromising on the Walther accuracy. The trigger system coupled with low profile 3 dot polymer combat sights, with rear sight screw adjustable for windage, makes it a snag free conceal carry sidearm, while allowing the same Walther experience of rapid aiming and target acquisition.

Walther's exclusive Tenifer coating on P99 slide and barrel resists corrosion. Coupled with its highly chloride resistant finish and non glare surface boasting a 64 Rockwell C hardness rating and salt water resistance rating of 99%, allows the handgun to endure effects of perspiration. All of these feature make the P99 firstly a perfect conceal carry sidearm and secondly makes it suitable for use in diverse environments and circumstances.

The subtle details to ergonomic efficiency are a distinctive Walther styling: The rear slide serrations allow non slip surface to operate the slide easily; a manual decocker that is flushed with slide prevents snags; ergonomic grip with comfortable shape and non-slip cross directional patterns; and the paddle styled ambidextrous magazine release levers that offer fast, no-look magazine changes, offer a conceal carry handgun that offers an extended for positive operation even with gloves. Furthermore, a checkered trigger guard aids in double grip allowing the perfect tactical two handed grip stance.

The Walther P99 offers three different safeties including 2 drop safeties, even if the handgun falls to ground with muzzle directed towards floor, the striker will not react to the jolt, hence remaining in its safe position, and a pin block for safe carry. A slide stop safety jams the slide to the rear when empty, performing a dual purpose- a safety measure and magazine empty indicator.

The Walther semi-automatic allows extensive customizability options. P99 allows for rapid deployment of tactical and aiming devices. The accessory rail mounts optional tactical flashlight or laser aiming devices. Grip extenders and three interchangeable grips are available to cater to different handgrips and styles. The sights types include fixed metal 3-dot iron sights and tritium night sights; adjustable sports optic fiber iron sights. Furthermore, the magazine has several options: from standard capacity to high or compact. Apart from these a suppressor kit with a silencer that reduces the sound signature by 33 dBA is also part of the customization catalogue offered as factory accessories.
